I have been pondering this past week how best to keep my heart and mind focused on Christ during this busy holiday season and low and behold God prompted something out of the ordinary for me. A blog reflecting on His Son Jesus Christ. Now I can definitely say, blogging is not my strength, but God being God is persistent in his promptings. Persistent He has been as I have awoken the past few mornings with that thought first and foremost on my mind. I've learned over time that obedience brings blessings to my life and disobedience often means missing out on great opportunities for spiritual growth and seeing God at work, therefore I believe I will choose obedience.
Now I don't profess to be a biblical scholar or have any type of theology background, however, I have been a Christ follower for a number of years and this blog will be focused on what God is teaching me through his Word during this advent season.
I will attempt to focus on a part of scripture each day with what God is showing me through the passage. Since I am a work in progress, I have no doubt the the structure of this blog will also be a work in progress.
So, shall we journey together this advent season and see where God takes us? Check back on December 1st as I will being posting my first thoughts.
